Fergus Hurley is an Irish mobile Internet entrepreneur and product designer based in San Francisco, California. Hurley was the Founding CEO of Focal Labs which developed the patented real-time, GPS-based photo sharing platform behind Clixtr and PicBounce, which have been featured in TechCrunch, The Washington Post, Venture Beat and The Irish Times. Clixtr won the 2009 Silicon Valley Business Journal Emerging Technology Award for Social Networking and the 2010 CES Mobile App Showdown. In October 2011 Focal Labs was acquired by RadiumOne, an Internet advertising company headquartered in San Francisco. Fergus is now Director of Products focused on web & mobile apps. He has spoken at conferences in USA, Asia & Europe and secured venture capital funding from top tier investors. He was selected as one of the ITLG Silicon Valley 50 Irish Americans in Technology 2011.
Hurley has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from University College Cork (UCC) Ireland, a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has completed the Stanford Graduate School of Business Ignite program.
